Greve's Annual Flower Market

Greve in Fiore

Once a year at the beginning of May Greve's beautiful piazza is enhanced by serried ranks of flowering plants.

Most of the selection is bright and cheerful if unexciting, but a few stalls offer something different.
stall specializing in salvias...
...and interesting perennials

In past years there have been clematis specialists, excellent herb selections and a stall with cottage-garden perennials (unusual here) but
this year a new flower exhibition in Florence clearly limited the display.

However it is always pleasant to see Greve break into flower.
