Tending the Rhubarb and Tomato Jungles

The pleasures of a vegetable garden

Watching things grow, with the prospect of eating them later, is the greatest pleasure to be had in the vegetable garden.
Another is making the garden look good. Nature tends towards chaos but we plant in rows, train, pinch out and weed to create a modicum of satisfying order in our vegetable jungles.
